Abstrak

Abstract

This Student Community Service (KKN) program addresses the gap between high learning enthusiasm and inadequate educational facilities in the target community. The primary challenges identified include a lack of Arabic language institutions and low student motivation at the House of Qur’an (RQ) due to monotonous teaching methods.The program integrated two strategic methodologies: Service Learning (SL) and Participatory Action Research (PAR). The SL method was applied to the Arabic language program to bridge academic theory with practical application, directly enhancing students' language competency. Meanwhile, the PAR approach was utilized to optimize tahfidz (Qur'an memorization) activities, positioning students as active partners in a collaborative cycle of planning, implementation, and reflection.The results indicate that the Service Learning method fostered a more inclusive and practical Arabic learning environment. Simultaneously, the PAR approach improved the quality of tahfidz education by shifting the focus from purely quantitative memorization targets to a more participatory and revitalized learning experience. Ultimately, the synergy of SL and PAR proved effective in providing sustainable educational solutions and strengthening the role of university students in local human resource development.
