Article Processing Charge

WARAQAT: Jurnal Ilmu-Ilmu Keislaman is a peer-reviewed scholarly journal published by STAI As-Sunnah with SINTA 3 accreditation. To maintain publication quality and ensure the sustainability of the journal, we implement an Article Processing Charge (APC) for every article accepted for publication.

1. General APC Policy

1.1 Basic Principles

WARAQAT applies a full open access model where all published articles can be freely accessed by readers worldwide without any subscription barriers or access fees. Authors are not charged for submitting manuscripts; fees are only charged for articles that have been accepted after a rigorous review process. All cost components are explained in detail and transparently to authors. APC funds are used to ensure quality review processes, professional editing, and sustainable publication with international standards.

1.2 Peer Review System

Every manuscript submitted to WARAQAT undergoes a rigorous double blind review process to ensure academic quality and objectivity of assessment. In this system, the identities of both authors and reviewers are kept confidential, allowing the evaluation process to proceed objectively and fairly. Each article is reviewed by at least 2 (two) expert reviewers who are competent in their field. Reviewers are selected based on their expertise and experience relevant to the manuscript's topic. The review process includes assessment of methodology, research originality, significance of scholarly contribution, writing structure, and alignment with the journal's scope.

1.3 When is APC Charged?

IMPORTANT: APC is ONLY charged after your article has gone through the peer review process, been declared ACCEPTED by the editor based on reviewer recommendations, and you receive an official Letter of Acceptance (LOA) from the editorial team. Rejected articles or those still under review are NOT CHARGED ANY FEE.
